Job Title: Material Handler

OFI is seeking a highly skilled Material Handler to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of materials within our warehouse and manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Equipment Operations: Safely operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, following established safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Quality Control: Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies, and collaborate with quality department personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Material Handling: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders or shipping documents, and safely transport materials to designated areas using appropriate equipment.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately complete all required documentation, such as receiving reports, materials movement logs, and inventory records, and generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and other related metrics as requested.
  • Order Fulfillment: Retrieve requested materials from inventory based on work orders or requisitions, and prepare materials for distribution or shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by performing regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies, and monitor stock levels, identify low inventory situations, and initiate replenishment processes as necessary.
  • Cleaning and Sanitization: Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of all designated areas within the facility, including floors and common areas.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical or vocational training in materials management or logistics a plus.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to materials handling, compliance with health and hygiene standards, and physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Materials Handler or similar role in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of materials handling principles, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
  • Certifications: Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, with appropriate certifications if required.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and departments.
