Job Title: Lab Technician

PacifiCorp is seeking a skilled Lab Technician to join our team. As a Lab Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our water samples and performing chemical analysis to support our operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze water samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Prescribe chemical additions to various systems based on analysis and guidelines established by the plant chemist
  • Prepare and perform required analysis and calculations on coal samples
  • Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on chemical analysis instrumentation
  • Prepare chemical mixtures used for test applications
  • Perform non-water analysis on equipment in and out of service as required
  • Prepare and maintain necessary reports
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management
Requirements:
  • A C grade or better in each of the listed courses: Chemistry 1210, Chemistry 1230, Chemistry 1220, Chemistry 1240, and Mathematics 1050
  • Prior experience in utility plant maintenance and instrumentation is helpful
