We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanic with a strong background in the maintenance and repair of medium-duty trucks and various small machinery. This is an opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing outdoor maintenance firms in the nation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Project and Fleet Managers to evaluate equipment requirements and diagnose repair issues using cost-effective methods.
• Oversee and schedule preventative maintenance and repair tasks.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and labor hours for each piece of equipment.
• Adhere to monthly and annual budget constraints for the shop.
• Conduct mechanical repairs utilizing standard hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Identify equipment malfunctions and implement proactive maintenance strategies for the fleet.
• Operate service vehicles for on-site repairs as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shop and office environments.
• Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Over 5 years of experience in servicing medium-duty trucks and arbor-specific machinery.
• Familiarity with equipment such as aerial lifts, wood chippers, skid steers, and ATVs.
• Extensive experience in engine repairs for brands like International, Cummins, and Cat.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic software to troubleshoot engine, hydraulic, electrical, or electronic issues.
• The ability to manage workload effectively in warm weather conditions for extended periods.
• Capability to order necessary parts as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Comprehensive understanding of arbor and small equipment, including safe operating procedures for aerial lifts and wood chippers.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong critical thinking and multitasking abilities.
• Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and internal systems.
• A valid Driver's License (CDL preferred) and compliance with company driver eligibility standards.
