Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at East Liverpool City Hospital is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and be able to work effectively in a team setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, including medication administration and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and quality care.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, including medical history, treatment plans, and patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Current and valid state RN license.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Current PALS certification and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire.
  • Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements:

  • Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current.
  • EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire.

East Liverpool City Hospital:

East Liverpool City Hospital is an award-winning community hospital proudly serving residents of the tristate region since 1905. With 152 licensed beds and more than 500 employees, the hospital averages 31,000 Emergency Department visits annually. The medical staff is comprised of more than 160 physicians with an additional 21 resident physicians completing their training in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine.

The hospital provides 24/7 emergency services, general surgery, medical stabilization for substance abuse, behavioral health for adults over the age of 55, and remains the ONLY cardiac rehabilitation program in Columbiana County.
