Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and triage both urgent and routine patient communications, including phone calls and electronic messages.
Educational Requirements:
- An Associate's Degree from an accredited nursing program or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required. If hired after a specified date, a Bachelor's Degree must be obtained within four years.
Experience:
- A minimum of one year of experience in healthcare, particularly in acute care settings, along with one year of experience in ambulatory care, triage, or medical office environments is preferred.
Preferred Additional Experience:
- Background in specialty nursing within fields such as Oncology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, or Obstetrics and Gynecology is advantageous.
Licensure and Certification:
- Current RN licensure from the California Board of Registered Nursing and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association are mandatory.
- Proficiency in Epic software must be achieved within 90 days of employment.
Core Skills:
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in direct patient care, collaborating effectively with healthcare providers and support staff.
- Exceptional communication and motivational skills, particularly in conveying treatment instructions and managing patient symptoms.
- Leadership capabilities to guide and direct clinical staff.
- Strong sensitivity to patient needs and the ability to facilitate effective communication.
- A collaborative team player, adept at working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and diplomacy in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong customer service, time management, and organizational abilities.
Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts from 08:00 to 17:30, with no waiver for overtime eligibility.
Compensation:
Hourly rate of $93.95, commensurate with relevant experience and licensure. Note: Positions at John Muir Health that are exempt from overtime under the managerial level are listed as hourly for compensation purposes.Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week.
