Job Title: Lead Welder

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Welder to join our team at Diversified Sourcing Solutions. As a Lead Welder, you will be responsible for overseeing and performing welding duties, ensuring work is completed according to quality standards and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of welders, providing guidance, training, and technical expertise to ensure high-quality work.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine welding requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques as required, maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail.
  • Inspect welds to ensure they meet company and industry standards, identifying and addressing any defects or issues.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working order, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Coordinate work schedules to meet production goals and deadlines, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures, promoting a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers on welding projects, providing technical expertise and support.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise among team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Welder with leadership responsibilities, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Certification in welding or a related field is preferred, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of welding equipment and tools, with the ability to maintain and repair them as needed.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings, with a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of welders.
  • Leadership and supervisory experience in a manufacturing or construction environment, with a strong understanding of production processes and workflows.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and exceeding customer expectations.
