Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our educational community, you will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the unique needs and goals of each student.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement IEPs that cater to the specific needs and abilities of each student.
- Cultivate a safe and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and growth.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals, including therapists and parents, to ensure comprehensive support for each child.
- Utilize a range of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as needed to promote success.
- Encourage positive social interactions and skill development among students.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
- Valid MA teaching certification (Grades 1-3 Cert).
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged children with special needs is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to education.
- A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to creating a nurturing learning environment.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics with empathy and patience.
