Position Overview:
The Supply Chain Inventory Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the precision of inventory management for parts and products through meticulous transaction documentation, verification of processes and procedures, and comprehensive system evaluations.
This role involves managing replenishment strategies, overseeing physical inventory counts, and leading cycle counts while analyzing and rectifying any discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in resolving daily production challenges.
- Design and validate production processes and custom fixtures.
- Develop and implement innovative manufacturing techniques as necessary.
- Define and enhance production flow and layout for efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements related to product quality, efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction.
- Support the successful transition of new products into production.
- Create and/or update assembly procedures, bills of materials, and routings.
- Lead and coordinate the activities of production staff.
- Effectively troubleshoot production issues.
- Utilize sound judgment and minimal supervision to identify root causes of problems and evaluate alternative solutions.
- Foster productive collaborative relationships and provide guidance on basic matters.
- Communicate effectively through both written and verbal methods, adapting style to suit various production personnel.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in inventory management, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- Intermediate understanding of Inventory Control or Production Control, along with MRP in a manufacturing context.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems is essential, preferably with Oracle.
- Fundamental knowledge of quality systems (e.g., 5S and lean practices) and experience in driving change.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPIM certification.
- Forklift Certification.
Travel Requirements:
10% domestic travel may be necessary.
