Job Summary

As an Optical Manager at BJ's Wholesale Club, you will be responsible for leading a team of opticians and ensuring exceptional customer service in our optical department. This role requires strong leadership skills, knowledge of optical products, and the ability to drive sales and meet performance goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of opticians to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
  • Stay up-to-date on optical products and services to provide expert advice to customers.
  • Drive sales and meet performance goals by educating customers on the benefits of available products.
  • Ensure a safe and positive environment for customers and team members.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management to resolve issues and achieve goals.
Requirements
  • Must be licensed to work as an optician within the state and keep license up-to-date and active.
  • Knowledge of optical products and business practices preferred.
  • High school diploma, college degree, and/or big box wholesale, retail, optical, and/or management experience is preferred.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including managing/supervising cross-functional teams, training team members, and driving and communicating results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer service skills, organizational skills, and an attention to detail required.
Work Environment

This role is located in a comfortable indoor area with frequent exposure to temperature extremes and loud noises. There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is starting from $30.00. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
