HDD Superintendent

InterCon Construction is seeking a highly skilled HDD Superintendent to oversee and perform large rig horizontal directional drilling operations in the construction, maintenance, and repair of oil/gas transmission lines.

• Operational Oversight: Supervise daily HDD crew activities to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Project Coordination: Coordinate with customers, local officials, locating services, and subcontractors to execute projects on time.
• Safety Management: Conduct daily safety briefings and promote a culture of safety among crew members.
• Logistics and Procurement: Procure and arrange materials for timely delivery and maintain accurate records.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment and vehicles are properly maintained and cleaned.
• Quality Control: Verify proper tooling is available for drills on the job site and implement company policies and procedures.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Previous experience running and operating large rig HDD operations, with a minimum of 3000 feet of 20-inch HDD crossings experience.
• Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in underground oil/gas transmission systems, as well as fundamental understanding of safety regulations, OSHA regulations, and local and state regulations.
• Communication and Teamwork: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Travel Requirements: Consistent travel required throughout the United States.
