Job Summary

As a CT Technologist at SSM Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. Your expertise will be essential in performing computerized tomographic procedures to diagnose diseases and injuries, adhering to protocols established by radiologists.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Prepare and position patients accurately, selecting anatomic and technical parameters as needed.
  • Administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor patient activity during procedures and report any abnormalities, recommending updates to protocols as necessary.
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Work in a safe and alert manner, performing other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Completion of a Radiology Program is required.
  • No prior experience is necessary.
Physical Requirements
  • Constant standing and walking are required.
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far.
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech for oral communication.
  • Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and alarms.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting/moving of patients.
  • Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
  • Rare kneeling and sitting.
Required Professional Licenses and Certifications
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • ARRT-CT Computed Tomography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 12 months of hire
Work Environment

This position is a Day Shift (United States of America) and is an Employee position within the CT Scan department.
