Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team. The CFO will report directly to the President and will be responsible for steering the financial direction of the organization. This role is crucial in ensuring the long-term financial stability and growth of Compass Business Solutions, Inc.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Forecasting: Develop and maintain comprehensive financial forecasts for all organizational funds, ensuring alignment with both short-term and long-term operational goals.
2. Strategic Financial Analysis: Collaborate with department heads to conduct thorough financial analyses of current and proposed initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
3. Financial Evaluation: Establish and oversee a systematic process for evaluating the financial performance of various programs and initiatives, providing insights into cost-effectiveness.
4. Annual Budget Management: Lead the annual budgeting process by identifying organizational priorities and translating them into a sustainable financial plan.
5. Endowment Fund Oversight: Work closely with the Institutional Advancement team to manage and optimize the use of the organization's endowment funds.
6. Integrated Planning: Create procedures that seamlessly integrate financial planning with the overall strategic objectives of the organization.
7. External Monitoring: Stay informed of external economic trends and regulatory changes to ensure the organization’s financial practices remain compliant and relevant.
8. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and oversee investment strategies to ensure liquidity while maximizing returns within regulatory constraints.
9. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all financial regulations and standards, managing the annual audit process effectively.
10. Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to finance and operational teams, fostering an inclusive leadership culture.
11. Board Engagement: Act as a key member of the Audit, Finance, and Investment Committees, providing financial insights and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of twelve years of progressive experience in finance, operations, and strategic management.
2. At least five years of leadership experience, preferably within the corporate or non-profit sectors.
3. A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
4. Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are advantageous but not mandatory.
5. Extensive experience in strategic planning, budget management, and financial analysis.
6. Proven ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
