Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our team at H-E-B Wellness Primary Care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and support services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care and support services, including vital sign checks, medical histories, and lab specimen collection.
  • Assist physicians with exams and medical procedures, and provide general patient care.
  • Coordinate patient care and serve as a liaison between patients, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
  • Develop an understanding of H-E-B-sponsored health insurance and eligibility files.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to patient inquiries and complaints.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA) from a recognized organization.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • 1+ years of experience in office, clerical, or medical work, preferably as a medical assistant or in a similar role.
  • Advanced interpersonal, customer service, and issue-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinic environment and manage multiple priorities.
