AmeriMed Infusion Pharmacy, a leading provider of home infusion therapy services, is seeking a highly skilled Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Lexington, KY.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist our registered pharmacists in the preparation and compounding of medications. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong understanding of sterile compounding procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and compounding of medications, including measuring and mixing ingredients, and preparing IV solutions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Program and double-check IV pump settings for accuracy prior to delivery.
  • Assist with the orientation and training of new pharmacy personnel.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, insurance providers, and medical providers to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • State pharmacy technician licensure in the state of employment.
  • National certification as a pharmacy technician within 12 months of employment.
  • At least six months of experience in sterile IV compounding.
  • Excellent customer service skills, math skills, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
