Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Associate Counselor to join our team at Burrell Behavioral Health. As an Associate Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing mental health and substance use disorder treatment to individuals in accordance with their treatment plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in screening and assessment processes under the supervision of a licensed counselor or therapist.
  • Develop treatment plans for clients in accordance with state regulatory guidelines.
  • Complete all correspondence in a timely fashion.
  • Participate in clinical staffing meetings and provide feedback on cases.
  • Document all services provided in accordance with state regulatory standards.
  • Ensure that documentation is reviewed and countersigned by a Qualified Addiction Professional.
Requirements:
  • A trainee that meets the requirements for registration, supervision, and professional development as set forth by the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc.
  • Or, a trainee that meets the requirements for registration, supervision, and professional development as set forth by the appropriate board of professional registration with the Department of Economic Development for licensure as a psychologist, professional counselor, or social worker.
  • Obtain CADC according to IL admin rule part 2060 within 2 years and renew as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Willingness to become licensed in additional states, other than the state currently licensed in.
  • Comfortable with providing telehealth services to individuals.
