Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 annually

At Great Wolf Lodge, the Engineering Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance activities and ensuring the optimal physical condition of the facility, aimed at achieving the highest standards of guest satisfaction while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures maintenance operational excellence by contributing insights to strategic planning and reviews; implementing standards for production, quality, and customer service; and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Assesses the functionality and reliability of facility systems and equipment by collaborating with operational departments to identify challenges and requirements.
  • Guarantees the functionality and reliability of facility systems through a proactive maintenance program; conducts operations and testing of systems and equipment; and restores or replaces defective components as necessary.
  • Enhances the performance and reliability of facility systems by analyzing performance data; recommending and executing modifications, expansions, and improvements.
  • Executes supervisory duties by recruiting, training, scheduling, mentoring, and administering disciplinary actions when required.
  • Evaluates team performance and suggests compensation adjustments accordingly.
  • Promotes a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to established standards and regulations.
  • Stays informed on industry trends and developments by engaging in educational opportunities.
  • Achieves maintenance and organizational objectives by completing related tasks as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on equipment maintenance experience, including troubleshooting electronic failures with specialized tools.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role leading a team of skilled technicians.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Plumbing License, Certified Pool & Spa (CPO) License, or Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) Certification.
  • Prior leadership experience in a resort or waterpark environment.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs related to Ergonomics, Emergency Response, Injury and Illness Prevention, and Hazard Communication.
  • Strong people management skills, including conflict resolution, coaching, team development, and performance evaluation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Capability to bend, stretch, and twist as needed.
  • Ability to remain seated or standing for extended periods.
  • Willingness to climb multiple flights of stairs regularly and walk frequently.
