SpecialtyRx, a leading Long-Term Care pharmacy, is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team. As a Pharmacist at SpecialtyRx, you will play a critical role in delivering personalized care and quality pharmacy services to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Medication Order Evaluation: Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, ensuring that medications are correctly supplied and labeled.
- Therapy Recommendations: Make recommendations for therapy changes to physicians and client facilities staff, as needed.
- Customer Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer databases, including medical history, clinical, and laboratory data.
- Medication-Related Queries: Investigate and resolve medication-related queries, communicating effectively with facilities nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
- Medicine Preparation and Security: Supervise the preparation of medicines and maintain proper security conditions for medications.
- Register Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purposes.
- On-Call Duties: Perform on-call duties when required, ensuring seamless service delivery.
Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist: Must be a licensed pharmacist in the State of Florida.
- Long Term Care Experience: Long-term care experience preferred, but not required.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in hospital and retail pharmacy or other medical fields.
- Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer software and systems, with knowledge of framework/ECM software a plus.
