About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Emerson. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining our Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule, perform, and document internal and external audits to ensure compliance with our Quality Assurance Manuals and relevant specifications.
  • Participate in customer and regulatory agency audits to ensure our quality standards are met.
  • Support the achievement of business performance goals through data acquisition and analysis, scrap and rework reduction, and continual process improvement.
  • Develop nondestructive examination procedures in accordance with applicable codes and specifications.
  • Review Certified Material Test Reports for chemical composition and mechanical property compliance to material standards.
  • Train internal personnel in QA program requirements.
  • Initiate and close corrective actions.
  • Approve disposition of nonconforming material through Material Rejection Notice process.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly performance reports relating to internal process quality and efficiency, supplier quality, and status of corrective actions.
  • Maintain quality records.
  • Review vendor purchase order requirements for compliance to quality and engineering specifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering; or in the absence of a degree, equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or similar.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ASME, ANSI, AWS, and military specifications.
  • ASME Sec IX knowledge and experience.
  • NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification.
  • Lean manufacturing/continuous improvement experience.
