About the Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented SPD Technician to join our team at Surgical Hospital of Oklahoma LLC. As an SPD Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient processing of surgical instruments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform case pull functions and determine appropriate case carts for specialty procedures.
  • Build case carts, adhering to established procedures, and dispatch them to ensure availability for surgical/clinical procedures.
  • Perform record-keeping functions, including processing, sterilization, quality assurance, and inventory control.
  • Order, stock, and maintain adequate levels of supplies.
  • Participate in in-service education and training.
Certifications and Requirements:
  • Certification in central service/sterile processing is preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform duties while standing, sitting, stooping, and reaching for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a continual basis and push/pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to perform the basic functions of the job.
Work Environment:

Exposure to environments of bacterial and viral contamination, and possible exposure to sterilization gases.
