Position Overview:
This role is essential in managing the health of individuals by closely monitoring and evaluating their medical records, symptoms, and responses to treatment. The Registered Nurse acts as a crucial link between individuals and their families, providing guidance and education on aftercare practices.
Schedule & Location: Full-time, 6p-6a, 3 days a week.
Job Type: This position requires full onsite presence and is not eligible for remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor individuals, documenting and reporting any changes in their condition, including adverse reactions to medications or treatments, and taking appropriate actions.
- Uphold nursing care standards by adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Respond to individuals' calls and assess how to provide assistance.
- Review care plans to ensure safe and therapeutic care is delivered to individuals. Collaborate with individuals, their families, and other healthcare team members to achieve care plan objectives.
- Measure and document vital signs, including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Administer basic care or treatments, such as taking temperatures or blood pressures, dressing wounds, treating bedsores, and performing catheterizations.
- Identify abnormal diagnostic data and understand its implications, reporting findings to physicians and other caregivers, and integrating information into the nursing care plan.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess individual needs, plan and adjust care, and implement interventions.
- Evaluate the outcomes of nursing interventions, consulting with other healthcare team members as necessary.
- Under the guidance of the Nursing Supervisor, manage all communications and coordination with each consumer's support network throughout their journey within the organization.
- Oversee all internal Nursing Services communications and, when needed, serve as the Communication Liaison between the subsidiary and external healthcare providers.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid, state-specific Registered Nursing license (Bachelor's in Nursing preferred).
- Current BLS certification.
- Compliance with all licensing requirements set by the respective state.
- High School Diploma.
Additional Requirements:
- One to three years of experience as a Registered Nurse or three to five years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Schedule & Availability:
- Both AM and PM shifts available.
- AM Shift: 6 am to 6 pm; PM Shift: 6 pm to 6 am.
- Rotating Schedule – work only 7 days out of 14.
