Position Overview:
The Financial Operations Leader will oversee all elements of financial strategy and analysis for the Market Analytics and Business Insights (MABI) and Advertising & Communications divisions within Therapeutic Analytics & Operations (TA&O).

This role reports directly to the Finance Manager and is dedicated to delivering exceptional business support to various functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and evaluate monthly financial performance against the Plan/LBE, identifying risks and opportunities in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  2. Conduct month-end closing activities for MABI and Advertising & Communications budgets, tracking expenditures and reporting discrepancies on a monthly basis.
  3. Assist in the preparation of Latest Best Estimates (LBEs), annual plans, and Long-Range Plans (LRP) for all external services and personnel costs associated with these functions.
  4. Manage the charge-out process for quarterly data acquisitions, analytics-related expenditures, and advertising activities, ensuring precision in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  5. Establish strong relationships with business partners to guarantee a comprehensive understanding of operational needs.
  6. Coordinate financial planning processes to accurately capture headcount, external services, and personnel expenses while working closely with the Finance Manager on financial objectives.
  7. Reconcile Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) headcount across departments to maintain accurate team structures.
  8. Update and maintain the Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) system for LBE forecasts and planning submissions with relevant financial data.
  9. Ensure that planning tools for TA&O are effective and that templates are provided promptly for the submission of assigned groups.
  10. Collaborate with finance teams to enhance the usability and effectiveness of templates and tools.
  11. Implement process and system enhancements in alignment with TA&O priorities.
