About the Job

Aequor Technologies is seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team. As a Radiology Tech, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients, ensuring the highest image quality and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients, ensuring the highest image quality and patient safety.
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process, addressing concerns, and positioning them correctly for accurate imaging.
  • Monitor and assess patients during MRI procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety while adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of procedures, including patient data, imaging results, and any observed abnormalities.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze images, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.
  • Perform routine maintenance on MRI equipment, troubleshooting any issues, and coordinating with technical support as needed.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment and radiation dosimeters.
  • Provide patient care by recognizing and responding to emergency situations during imaging procedures.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of MRI imaging procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Proficiency with computers and radiology information systems (RIS) for accurate data entry and image management.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and positioning patients, operating MRI equipment, and standing for extended periods.
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with a specialization in MRI (ARRT-MR).
  • Active [STATE] Radiology Technologist License in good standing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Tech - MRI or in a similar role.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Experience with EPIC or similar charting systems.
