Position Overview
We are in search of a Director of Software Engineering to spearhead the design, execution, and oversight of technology solutions that align with federal regulatory reporting mandates. This role is crucial in ensuring adherence to financial regulations while enhancing reporting methodologies with a focus on data integrity and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy and roadmap in collaboration with key stakeholders to achieve significant business results and meet regulatory reporting obligations.
2. Ensure that all financial technology solutions are compliant with applicable state and federal regulations, proactively monitoring regulatory changes and adapting technology solutions accordingly.
3. Oversee the deployment and upkeep of reporting systems and tools, guaranteeing precise and timely data collection, processing, and automated report generation.
4. Establish and maintain technology governance frameworks related to data management and quality assurance.
5. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technology professionals, conducting performance evaluations and providing career development support.
6. Identify and implement technology enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in regulatory reporting, including innovative automation solutions.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across finance, data management, and governance to ensure effective communication with senior management and external partners.
8. Manage projects associated with regulatory reporting changes and technology implementations, ensuring timely completion within defined scope and budget.
Qualifications:
- 7-10+ years of extensive experience in regulatory reporting or financial services, with a solid understanding of reporting systems and governance frameworks.
- Proven leadership experience managing regulatory reporting technology for large-scale banking programs.
- Strong expertise in data modeling and design, specifically in delivering technology solutions for regulatory compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
