At the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, we are seeking a highly skilled Home-Based Primary Care Physician to join our team. As a key clinical primary point of accountability for patients involving Geriatric and Extended Care services, you will collaborate with other providers and specialists in and outside of the VA system to manage patients' health.
Salary and Benefits
The annual salary for this position is approximately $220,000, which includes a competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases, paid time off, retirement benefits, insurance coverage, and licensure requirements.
Job Description
We are seeking a Physician who can provide comprehensive medical care to older adult patients in their homes. Your responsibilities will include visiting HBPC patients at home for medical evaluation and treatment, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and outcome measures of healthcare issues, histories, and physicals, ordering diagnostic and therapeutic tests/studies, initiating consults and referrals, and prescribing medications/supplies for patients at home.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine. You must also have a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
