Job Title: HVAC/R Systems Technician I

Department: Veterinary Medicine Division

Location: Veterinary Medicine Facility

Supervisor: Mark Gatlin

Role Summary:

  • Serves as the primary technician for the upkeep and repair of HVAC-R systems.
  • Conducts routine maintenance on components such as coils, belts, and filters.
  • Diagnoses and resolves mechanical, electrical, and thermodynamic issues.
  • Handles general maintenance responsibilities for the facility.
  • May require overtime work and availability for emergency situations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in HVAC is essential.
  • Possession of EPA Refrigeration certification is required.
  • Familiarity with refrigerants and electrical control systems is necessary.
