We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Actalent. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will be responsible for accessioning surgical consult cases, documenting materials received, and performing clerical and technical functions required for core front-end laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accession specimens according to approved protocols
* Document materials received for consult cases
* Perform clerical and technical functions required for core front-end laboratory operations
Requirements:
* Medical terminology
* General lab experience - following SOP, handling specimen etc.
* Computer/data entry
Work Environment:
This is a fully on-site position in a busy, hospital office & laboratory setting where the majority of time is spent on feet. The work environment is small, packed with equipment and people, and the work schedule is 8:30am-5pm.
