Critical Care Nurse Specialist

Salary InformationWe are offering a competitive salary for this position, estimated to be around $95,000 per year, with the opportunity to earn an additional $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified external candidates.
Job Description: ICU Nurse - RNThe Registered nurse is responsible for collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Daily responsibilities include assessments and reassessments, developing individualized plans of care, medication administration, documentation, education, proper maintenance of equipment, and communication of patient needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Provide respiratory, ventilator management, and monitoring for patients.
- Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of your healthcare team.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- RN licensure by KY Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
- Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- BLS required, and must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Must obtain ACLS within 6 Months of hire or transfer from non-ICU area.
- At least one-year clinical nursing experience preferred.
- No travel required.
