Job Summary

The Event Merchandise Specialist will be responsible for setting up and managing merchandise kiosks at the Cedar Park Center, selling merchandise for various events, including Texas Stars Hockey, concerts, and family shows. This role requires flexibility and availability during weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and fulfilling merchandise needs.
  • Operate cash registers and process credit transactions efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor at all times.
  • Regularly check displays and fixtures to ensure merchandise is well-stocked and inform the manager of any restocking needs.
  • Upsell products by being knowledgeable about special promotions and deals, and introducing them to customers.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • 1+ years of retail sales experience using Point of Sale (POS) software is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is a plus.
  • Ability to process information and merchandise through computer/software systems and POS registers.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with associates and guests.
  • Ability to read, count, and write accurately to complete documentation and transactions.
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the store, including the selling floor, stock area, and register area.
  • Knowledge of the game of Hockey is a plus.
Physical Demands and Working Environment

This role requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, handling objects, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, and hearing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The work environment is fast-paced, with moderate to loud noise levels during events.
