Physician Therapist Role in Community Care

This professional-level position involves evidence-based evaluation of patient disabilities, planning, and administration of physical therapy treatments. The role requires completing documentation, instructing patients, families, and students, and participating in clinical program development and management. Clinicians are expected to engage in continuing education, departmental activities, outreach education, and preceptorship to students.
- Diagnostic Testing - Administer basic & complex diagnostic tests and evaluations for the treatment of mobility disorders and related impairments.
- Education - Teach & supervise graduate Physical Therapy students and/or clinical fellows/residents. Develop innovative programs to enhance patient care and serve as a resource consultant to other clinicians.
- Evaluation of Care - Analyze results of diagnostic and therapeutic testing to establish patient goals and modify subsequent treatment programs. Identify expected patient outcomes and communicate relevant information for continuity of care.
- Implementation - Select current and advanced techniques to provide quality and efficient rehabilitative services. Provide habilitation/rehabilitation and maintenance of persons with mobility-related impairments. Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs.
- Outreach/Community Involvement - Serve as a resource to government departments and statewide health professionals. Present at local or state levels, participate in community health screening and events, and develop new clinical programs to meet emerging needs.
- Participation - Contribute to quality of clinical services through attendance and participation in departmental meetings and in-services.
Salary: $29.98 - $43.10 per hour (Hiring Range)
Job Requirements: Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program, licensed as a Physical Therapist in North Carolina, BLS certification, and no prior experience required.
Work Details: Full-time position with standard hours of 40 per week, onsite work assignment, day job schedule, and location in Holly Springs, NC.
