We are seeking a Construction Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team at SERVPRO of North Central Tazewell County. This full-time, hourly role is ideal for an individual with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of the construction sector. The successful candidate will oversee and manage all ongoing daily financial operations related to various construction projects, including job costing and budget oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development and management of job costing and budget/cash flow for the construction department.
- Ensuring accuracy in subcontractor contracts and billing processes.
- Maintaining daily operational records, including labor documentation, equipment usage calculations, and vendor expenses.
- Preparation and validation of all project budgets and financial reports.
- Supervision of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Conducting audits of all financial documentation to confirm the accuracy of final billing.
- Collaboration with external accounting firms for monthly financial close-out procedures.
- Creation of written accounting protocols for team members and ensuring adherence to these guidelines.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, particularly in job costing, project budget management, and financial reporting.
- Experience in Construction Management, General Contracting, or Subcontractor sectors is advantageous.
- Knowledge of commercial insurance policies is essential.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Familiarity with Xactimate is a plus.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and presentation skills are necessary.
- Ability to perform effectively and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing deadlines.
