Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Professional to join our team at VS Servicer at Beacon LLC. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve a variety of menu items, including therapeutic food, specialty meals, and modified diets.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise dietary aides in the absence of management, ensuring daily production, safety, and sanitation procedures are followed.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in inventory and proper storage of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Quality Control: Ensure food items are kept out of the temperature danger zone and follow regulations regarding storage and handling of food items.
  • Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to universal precautions, infection control techniques, and safety regulations.
  • Communication: Report hazardous conditions, equipment issues, and accidents/incidents to management.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; culinary school graduate preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of experience working in a kitchen; long-term care experience preferred.
  • Skills: Knowledge of food preparation, portion control, and infection control practices; HACCP regulation and modified diets experience preferred.
