Shredding Specialist

Job Summary:
The Shredding Specialist is responsible for receiving, segregating, and loading waste paper into a paper shredder, as well as performing various traditional warehouse support duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload shredded paper, media, and products from Shred-it's trucks at the assigned branch nightly.
- Reload trucks with specific equipment needed for the next day's assignment.
- Operate and maintain baling machinery at the branch.
- Ensure all paper bales are staged or loaded for shipment as required.
- Perform shredding operations in support of Shred-it's off-site shredding program.
- Safeguard plant hardware and equipment by locking and activating security systems.
- Operate forklifts and perform preventative maintenance on forklifts as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area according to Shred-It and NAID standards.
- Ensure that all truck compartments and cabs are cleaned nightly in accordance with company guidelines.
- Perform weekly, monthly, and yearly preventative maintenance on all equipment.
- Maintain supplies for plant operations.
- Adhere to all security and safety protocols, reporting any concerns to management.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ Years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably with forklift operation and maintenance.
- Valid Driver's License and a history of good driving records.
- Forklift Certification is preferred.
