Job Title: Shredding Specialist

Job Summary:

The Shredding Specialist is responsible for receiving, segregating, and loading waste paper into a paper shredder, as well as performing various traditional warehouse support duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload shredded paper, media, and products from Shred-it's trucks at the assigned branch nightly.
  • Reload trucks with specific equipment needed for the next day's assignment.
  • Operate and maintain baling machinery at the branch.
  • Ensure all paper bales are staged or loaded for shipment as required.
  • Perform shredding operations in support of Shred-it's off-site shredding program.
  • Safeguard plant hardware and equipment by locking and activating security systems.
  • Operate forklifts and perform preventative maintenance on forklifts as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area according to Shred-It and NAID standards.
  • Ensure that all truck compartments and cabs are cleaned nightly in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Perform weekly, monthly, and yearly preventative maintenance on all equipment.
  • Maintain supplies for plant operations.
  • Adhere to all security and safety protocols, reporting any concerns to management.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ Years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably with forklift operation and maintenance.
  • Valid Driver's License and a history of good driving records.
  • Forklift Certification is preferred.
