Position Overview:


The Logistics Technician is responsible for overseeing supply chain operations from initiation to completion for both official and unofficial inventory, as well as other materials or equipment that are received, distributed, maintained, and managed by the Materials Management Department Distribution Center.

This role will leverage computer technology and software tools to accurately input all inventory information into the Supply Chain Management system, employing FIFO and LIFO methods for effective storage management. Responsibilities include rotating stock, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring product integrity through regular inspections and expiration date checks.

The position may also involve operating a box truck and/or cargo van.

Key Qualifications: A minimum of one year of experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or similar environment is preferred. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and twisting is essential. Effective communication skills with all levels of staff and management are also required.
