Can Seamer Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Can Seamer Specialist. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity of food can closures through precise machinery operation and maintenance.

Position Summary:

Can Corporation of America, Inc. offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician with a strong mechanical background. The ideal candidate will excel in independent work while effectively collaborating with client personnel to resolve issues and foster teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Calibrate and adjust various machinery components, particularly the seamer, to guarantee optimal food can sealing.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure machinery operates correctly and meets specific quality standards, such as food can seam measurements.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment on-site at client locations as necessary.
• Conduct quality assessments utilizing testing equipment and handheld tools to verify food can seam compliance.
• Perform safety evaluations and assist fellow technicians with equipment repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Willingness to travel overnight to client sites as required.
• Provide detailed trip reports to clients and the company, outlining equipment conditions, quality findings, and any recommended follow-up actions.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of relevant mechanical experience.
• Background in the Food and Beverage sector is advantageous.
• Valid Driver's License is mandatory.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.
