Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Genetics Specialist to join our adult Genetics team in Temple, Texas. This clinic-based role provides a unique opportunity to learn and specialize in genetic conditions and make a lasting impact on patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including family histories and genetic testing to evaluate for hereditary conditions.
  • Coordinate genetic testing services for patients and their family members.
  • Communicate genetic information, including test results and collaborate with physician providers to create individualized care plans.
  • Provide education to patients and families about genetic conditions, testing options and treatment pathways.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care and appropriate referrals as indicated.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Texas RN licensure or RN licensure with compact privileges, as well as Texas APRN licensure (or eligible).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
  • A passion for genetics in medicine, with strong communication skills and an empathetic approach to patient care.

About the Role

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position, with a scheduled workweek from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in genetics, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
