We are a leading provider of innovative solutions for the built environment, and we're looking for a skilled Sprinkler System Inspector to join our team.

About the Role

As a Sprinkler System Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our fire protection systems. This will involve performing routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of our systems, as well as identifying and addressing any potential issues or defects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and testing of fire protection systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and meet industry standards.
  • Identify and address any potential issues or defects with fire protection systems, including leaks, corrosion, and other damage.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on fire protection systems, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
  • Work with low-voltage wiring and associated devices to ensure the safe and efficient operation of fire protection systems.
  • Learn to complete service acknowledgements and maintain accurate records of inspections and maintenance activities.
  • Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documentation and records in our system.
  • Make minor repairs and programming changes to fire protection systems under the direct supervision of a qualified technician.
  • Complete assigned inspections and maintenance activities on time and to a high standard.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of documented experience in sprinkler systems and fire protection.
  • Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by national, state, and local codes.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals.
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  • Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems.
  • Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high-lift equipment up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotation, nights, and weekends to meet customer requirements.
  • Willing to travel out of town.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Repair experience.
  • Backflow certification.
  • NICET Level II certification.
