- Conduct thorough check-out cleans, including sanitizing bathrooms, cleaning kitchenettes, changing linens, and replenishing supplies for incoming guests.
- Inspect drawers and closets for lost items.
- Check appliances and lighting for functionality, reporting any issues to maintenance for prompt repairs.
- Utilize cleaning supplies responsibly and report any shortages to the supervisor.
- Identify and report any damages or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cleaning equipment and storage areas.
- Dust furniture and fixtures, clean windows, and manage waste disposal effectively.
- Vacuum and ensure all areas are tidy.
Regular attendance is crucial for the successful execution of this role. Employees with inconsistent attendance may face disciplinary actions.
Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees may need to work flexible schedules based on the hotel's operational needs.
Attendance at scheduled training sessions and meetings is mandatory.
All employees must adhere to The Westin's rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities.
Violations of hotel policies may result in disciplinary measures.
Physical Requirements:Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs, and use hands for various tasks. Ability to lift and carry weights ranging from 11 to 75 pounds is necessary.
Qualifications:A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in housekeeping is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:Applicants should demonstrate proven guest service skills, attention to detail, physical fitness, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Availability to work weekends and holidays is essential.
