We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Design Engineer to join our team at Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for developing highway and roadway designs, estimates, and plans using general engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and review highway design alternatives
  • Develop 3D roadway design models
  • Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using highway design software
  • Develop construction cost estimates
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering reports and memos
  • Attend meetings with clients
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited engineering program
  • 2-5 years of experience in highway design and engineering
  • Strong knowledge of general highway and traffic engineering principles
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and industry-related software
