Role Summary
The Head of Legal Affairs serves as the principal legal advisor for the entire Aztec organization, including its international branches. This pivotal role involves offering legal guidance to the executive team, including the board of directors and senior management.

Key Responsibilities
- Formulating and executing corporate legal strategies to safeguard the company's interests while evaluating legal risks and opportunities.
- Leading compliance initiatives, including the Global Data Privacy Program.
- Engaging in mergers and acquisitions, overseeing business integration.
- Collaborating with the investor relations team on operational issues.
- Partnering with various departments to address contract-related matters, including vendor and customer agreements.
- Working alongside Human Resources to manage employment-related legal risks.
- Overseeing litigation and claims involving the organization.
- Managing board-related activities for the company’s subsidiaries.
- Ensuring effective delivery of legal services to align with corporate objectives.
- Maintaining appropriate interactions with local, state, and federal regulatory bodies.
- Advising senior executives on a wide range of legal and strategic matters.
- Contributing to the development of management policies as part of the executive team.
- Leading a team of legal professionals and external counsel.

Qualifications and Skills
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
- Active membership in a State bar in the United States.
- Experience as general counsel for a private entity is advantageous.
- Proficient in legal analysis and interpretation.
- Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with government officials.
- Experience in supervising and mentoring legal staff.
- Capacity to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
