Job Overview

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional care to patients across all age groups, from infants to adults. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in critical care and be committed to delivering high-quality respiratory therapy services.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must hold a permanent license from the Idaho State Board of Medicine as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an adult critical care environment within the last 5 years.
  • Recent ICU experience within the last 3 years is required.
  • Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently, as supervision will be limited.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary based on experience, along with a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and housing allowance. Shift differentials are available for evening and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed, ensuring to explain procedures and equipment to patients.
  2. Review patient charts and physician orders, set up necessary equipment, and deliver treatments such as oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and aerosol therapy.
  3. Monitor patients' respiratory status and adjust treatments as needed, ensuring optimal care.
  4. Conduct regular patient rounds to assess conditions and make necessary adjustments to therapy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Idaho.
  • Registered with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications must be completed within three months of hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification must be completed within one year of hire.
