Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Private Duty Nurse RN to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As a Private Duty Nurse RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, one-on-one care to our patients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing Physicians' Prescribed Plans of Care: You will work closely with our patients' physicians to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet their unique needs and goals.
  • Patient Assessments and Coordination of Care: You will conduct thorough assessments of our patients' physical and emotional needs, and coordinate their care with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and effective care delivery.
  • Administration of Medication and Treatments: You will administer prescribed medication and treatments to our patients, as well as provide education and support to their families on how to manage their care at home.
  • Compliant and Timely Documentation: You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of our patients' care, including progress notes, medication administration records, and other relevant documentation.
  • Health Promotion and Education: You will educate our patients and their families on healthy habits, disease management, and other topics relevant to their care, to empower them to take an active role in their health and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Active RN License: You must have an active, unencumbered RN license in the state where you will be practicing.
  • CPR Certification: You must have current CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
  • TB Skin Test: You must have a current TB skin test within the last 12 months.
  • Reliable Transportation: You must have reliable transportation to travel to patients' homes.
