Mission of the Department: The Department of Neurology is dedicated to delivering advanced, patient-focused neurological care for both adults and children. We engage in groundbreaking translational and clinical research to deepen our understanding of neurological disorders and innovate new treatment options. Additionally, we are committed to training the future leaders in neurology and clinical neuroscience while promoting diversity within our faculty, staff, and student body.

Primary Objectives of the Role: We are looking for a full-time professional to enhance our clinical and research initiatives within the Division of Child Neurology. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, contributing to the education of medical students, neurology residents, and fellows, and participating in clinical research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Clinical Duties

The primary focus will be on the care of patients in both inpatient and outpatient environments, specifically within the realm of Child Neurology.

2. Educational Contributions

The faculty member will be responsible for instructing medical students and residents. They will be expected to organize and facilitate a series of formal educational sessions for trainees, concentrating on pertinent topics in Child Neurology. Participation in weekly Grand Rounds and occasional lectures is also anticipated.

3. Research Engagement

The Division of Child Neurology is actively involved in clinical and translational research endeavors. The faculty member will be expected to contribute to, and when suitable, lead clinical research projects and trials.

4. Professional Service

The faculty member will participate in departmental, School of Medicine, and/or University committees as required, in addition to serving in a professional capacity within their field, such as a reviewer or conference organizer.

Required Qualifications:
Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology with Special Qualifications in Child Neurology Proven experience in fostering a diverse environment among faculty, staff, and students, or a commitment to doing so as a faculty member. Preferred Qualifications:
Fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology with a focus on Epilepsy or Fellowship in Epilepsy.
