Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret physician orders accurately and dispense pharmaceuticals in a timely manner.
  • Provide accurate and timely drug information to healthcare providers.
  • Maintain and review patient profiles to ensure appropriateness of therapy and prevent drug interactions.
  • Manage inventory of approved medications for routine, emergency, and floor stock situations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.
  • Continuous education to maintain licensure is mandatory.
  • Licensure by the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy is required.
  • Advanced mathematical skills and effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demanding workloads and stressful situations.
Working Conditions

This role requires close quarters in a busy environment with possible exposure to patients with infectious diseases and hazardous chemicals.

Ability to work at a rapid pace throughout the entire shift is essential.
