Job Summary:

Cennox is seeking a highly skilled Alarm System Specialist to join our team. As a Security Inspector, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting fire alarm systems, burglar alarm systems, and completing project work related to these systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test and inspect fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Test and inspect burglar alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Complete project work related to fire alarm and burglar alarm systems
  • Change alarm batteries as needed
  • Collect necessary data on alarm keypads
  • Send test signals from alarms to ATMs to ensure all systems are working properly
  • Adjust cameras as needed
  • Organize and manage paperwork
  • Maintain inventory and predict future inventory needs
  • Schedule assigned work
  • Complete jobs and paperwork correctly and in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Strong technical skills with a mechanical/electrical aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills
  • Strong work ethic to work independently and reliably meet deadlines with minimum supervision
  • Great communication/customer service skills and ability to interpret/execute written instructions
  • Valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing and a reliable/insured vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous work with alarm systems, electronic security, or similar fieldwork
  • High school diploma or equivalent trade school or apprenticeship

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift/move 50 or more pounds, stand, climb, bend, stoop, and reach freely
  • Ability to work both indoors and outside in all-weather and sit/drive for extensive daily travel
  • Must have good hand/eye coordination and sharp eyesight
