Critical Care Flight Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Critical Care Flight Nurse to join our team at Med-Trans Corporation. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with a passion for critical care to work in a fast-paced environment transporting patients to medical facilities.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per yearThis role requires a commitment to safety, effective communication, and the maintenance of certifications and equipment. The successful candidate will have three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN, current RN license in the states served by the assigned area, EMT Certification in state(s) where required, and BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP certification prior to flight status.
Job DescriptionThe Regional Floating Float Nurse is responsible for the safe transport of patients in critical care situations, utilizing critical thinking skills to assess and treat patients while collaborating with air and ground teams. This role requires a commitment to safety, effective communication, and the maintenance of certifications and equipment.
Main Responsibilities:- Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians' orders.
- Maintain regular equipment and base checks, and comply with safety standards and briefings.
- Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
