As a Sales Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to secure high-quality, negotiated design-build HVAC and mechanical projects, leveraging our experienced field staff. The ideal project scope ranges from $50K to $1 million, focusing on opportunities within a 90-minute radius of New York City. Our organization is dedicated to providing comprehensive training and support to facilitate your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and provide effective sales support.
- Engage with clients to evaluate equipment requirements and determine system specifications.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to articulate our products and services to current and potential clients.
- Develop and present detailed proposals and quotations.
- Expand business opportunities across all assigned accounts.
- Maintain strong customer relationships.
- Negotiate contracts as necessary.
- Assess opportunities and clarify the scope of the proposed solutions.
- Provide post-sale support by coordinating with subcontractors, equipment vendors, and internal project teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in performing load calculations and possessing the technical expertise to design, sell, and execute various HVAC projects.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the HVAC sector and/or mechanical engineering.
- Experience with low-temperature refrigeration is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CAD and Revit is a plus.
- Exceptional organizational, presentation, and communication skills to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills.

Work Environment:
This position typically involves an office setting, but may require site visits for inspections, including access to rooftops and exposure to varying weather conditions. The role necessitates physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, climbing, and reaching.
