Vascular Access Nurse Specialist with Rapid Response Expertise

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Vascular Access Nurse Specialist. This role requires expertise in rapid response, ACLS, and emergency situations.
**Salary Range:** $38,970 - $52,620 per year (depending on experience)
**Location:** Kenmore Mercy Hospital
**Job Summary:
This position involves responding to emergencies, assisting patients, and providing educational support. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to develop rapport with healthcare disciplines and providers.
**Responsibilities:**
- Respond to emergencies and provide assistance to patients in need.
- Insert midlines and PICCs at the bedside as ordered by a provider.
- Assess patient needs and provide educational support to staff.
- Participate in rounding on inpatients with central line access.
**Requirements:**
- Registered Nurse with current New York State license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Stroke Center certification.
- Certification in critical care nursing or vascular access board certified preferred.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Minimum of two years recent emergency department and/or critical care experience.
- Certification in emergency department nursing or vascular access board certified.
**Working Conditions:**
- Must be able to carry a personal travel bag with supplies.
- Must be able to transport necessary equipment.
