Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team at Fetch Veterinary. As an Emergency Animal Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to pets in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with emergency triage and stabilize critically ill or injured animals
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, such as blood work, radiographs, and ultrasounds
  • Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and response to treatments
  • Provide post-operative care and monitoring to surgical patients
  • Communicate effectively with the veterinary team and pet owners, providing updates on patient status and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a Veterinary Technician is preferred
  • Experience as an Emergency Veterinary Technician preferred
  • Strong technical skills and ability to operate and maintain medical equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
  • Flexibility with work schedule, including availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
