Health Services Administrator Job Summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Services Administrator to join our team at the Dodge County Jail in Juneau, Wisconsin. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for managing the healthcare delivery system, coordinating with other functions within the facility, and ensuring compliance with all aspects of the client contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the healthcare delivery system and coordinate with other functions within the facility.
  • Manage the budget and financial performance of the site, submitting timely and accurate reports to the supervisor and/or corporate office.
  • Develop and/or supervise the facility operational plan.
  • Direct the activities of the assigned staff.
  • Actively recruit new staff.
  • Arrange interview processes for potential staff, including necessary collateral colleagues and departments.
  • Interface with VitalCore Human Resources for the hiring and terminating of all site staff, managing labor to ensure the site is staffed according to contractual commitments and supervising staff scheduling.
  • Coordinate and participate in the interviewing and selection of Independent Contractors.
  • Ensure orientation of new VitalCore personnel by conducting or coordinating all initial new hire and annual orientation and training activities.
  • Ensure site utilization and compliance with all VitalCore and applicable client systems and applications.
  • Coordinate the Medical Audit Committee and facilitate the monthly meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with ACA and/or NCCHC standards and VitalCore clinical services and administrative policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Hospital Administrators and other external providers on the delivery of services at hospitals or other external health services locations outside the facility, negotiating third-party contracts when appropriate.
  • Adhere to and enforce all safety and security policies and procedures, participating in and ensuring compliance with applicable safety/emergency drills.
  • Follow and enforce all security regulations, including but not limited to keys, sharps, and controlled medications.
  • Ensure annual performance evaluations are conducted and completed with all personnel, including peer reviews.
  • Attend training and meetings as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or a related field.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance.
  • Correctional healthcare experience preferred.
