We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for researching, developing, designing, and testing electrical components, equipment, and systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Development: Design electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for aerospace and defense purposes, adhering to customer requirements and industry standards.
- Documentation and Coordination: Prepare schematics, bills of materials, printed circuit boards, wiring harness, and assembly drawings to support qualification and production build of the design. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and departments to ensure overall system form, fit, function, and safety requirements are achieved.
- Testing and Validation: Design and direct engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and qualification/production test support equipment. Determine methods, procedures, and conditions for testing products in accordance with system requirements.
- Manufacturing and Quality Assurance: Direct activities to ensure that manufacturing procedures, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements. Coordinate with quality assurance to support production test procedures.
- Obsolescence and Configuration Management: Coordinate with purchasing and manufacturing to support obsolescence issues and verification/validation of new sources. Prepare engineering change notice (ECN) per configuration management standards.
- Field Support and Maintenance: Direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations. Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university; or an Electrical Engineering Technology degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
